How to Reach Mount Rinjani Getting to Lombok by Airplane
The most convenient and quickest way to get to Lombok is by taking a flight. There are daily direct flights from Jakarta and Bali to Lombok International Airport (LOP) in Tanak Awu, located approximately 30 km or an hour’s drive southeast of Mataram.
The airlines that operate flights to Lombok include Garuda, Lion Air, Silk Air, AirAsia, and Trans Nusa.
By Ferry
There are multiple daily trips of public ferries between Padangbai (Bali) and Lembar (Lombok). The journey takes around 4-5 hours, and you can bring motorbikes and cars on the ferry.
If you tend to get seasick, be aware that the journey can be rough. There are also ferries that travel between Labuhan Lombok and Poto Tano on Sumbawa multiple times a day, with a duration of one and a half hours.
By Fast Boat
There are fast boat companies that offer transportation from Bali to mainland Lombok. You can depart from three convenient points in Bali: Serangan (near the Benoa Harbour), Padang Bai Harbour, and Nusa Penida. The trip takes approximately 2-3 hours to reach Bangsal harbour in the north of Lombok.
